Online Degree

Online Degree - I don't understand all the fuss over an online degree. Other than those online schools make a ton of money and use fewer resources. They say, "you learn more in a classroom", what kind of nonsense is that? People learn from everything. Ultimately, all knowledge is contained in books. If that book isnt written well, or has difficult material to conceptualize, then having someone explain so that I can understand speeds the process of learning along. But teachers are not necessary to learn.

Personally, I am autodidact but that doesnt mean that I can benefit from someone that has greater knowledge than me. I have a problem with the structured environment. I just hate being held back. If I want to read ahead and finish the book or class, then let me. Why must I take 10 weeks or more to learn something that would only take days? Some things are easy for me and others arnt, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

Of course, everyone learns at different speeds and time schedules are difficult to manage at times. I just hate being read to, when I can read it myself. I hate being told to slow down, and I hate when someone is too lazy to teach.
