Job

Job - I dont know whats worse, hiring people for a job or looking for a good job. I have outsourced a few jobs, and one thing keeps coming back to haunt me, you get what you pay for. Im a bargain hunter, so when I see a price well positioned, I usually grab it. Dont get me wrong, I dont get ripped off, my time gets wasted.

For example, I contracted out for some articles on a different website, because I didnt have time to write them. I specifically asked for them to be unique. And having problems in the past, I knew I would run into the same issue, but I thought some of the content would be useable. So I hired out for three different contractors for the same project. All very reasonably priced, however they were also all from India. I didnt think much of it at the time, but their command of the English language is lacking and that doesnt help make for a quality article.

Thankfully, Im good at editing so I fixed them up nice. Two of the contractors, hired writers and those writers plagiarized a whole lot of content. Well, needless to say I caught them and tried to negotiate for the content already written. One of the two was reasonable and we settled for an eighth the original bid price. The other one decided to get nasty.

Saying I threaten him, made false accusations, and generally made up a lot of distasteful things. So I submitted my proof of plagiarism and ended up paying nothing and kept the articles, then dinged their record.

Same thing goes for looking for a job, I know how to be the boss. I know how to run a company, but I also know how to work as an employee. I have friends that have no idea how to run a company, its a good thing they are still in business.
