Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - I have lots to talk about! But very little to say…

I lost all the data on my second computer… But turned out to be a rebirth into a badass gaming machine. Not a gaming machine with super graphics and a lightning fast internet connection. But an old school arcade. I got over 50,000 games on there now. Some of my favorites from the good ole Commodore 64.

Guess I’m an ole school gamer, and aside from the classics I put in The Sims 2 (all expansions) and the Grand Theft Auto series. But my true love is the MMORPG; I was hooked on Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot for years. So of course they made the cut. But all in all, I’m a strategy loving man. Warcraft III was my “alternate game”, I play it like other people play solitaire, however I’m addicted to it.

It’s easier to walk away from Warcraft III than it would be for an MMORPG for me. It’s like substituting crack for cigarettes.

I also bought an DVI to HDMI cable to hook up to the big screen but it’s not as easy as I thought it would be… I think I’m missing a step.

Then! The CoolTrade/Ameritrade deal went through, just a matter of advertising now.

There is more stuff, but I got alot of work to do.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - I have finally decided to start working out. I had given up on life. After two pituitary surgeries I am, for lack of a better term, messed up. It’s been over a year since my last surgery, and i have been avoiding the doctor, because he was unable to remove all of my tumor, meaning I have another surgery and some radiation to go.

Unfortunately, the cost of my “living” has increased dramatically. Insurance is a joke and I have to order a lot of my medications online. People are always concerned that the “quality” is not as good. Quality, shmality if you want my opinion products made OUTSIDE the U.S. have better quality. Case in point, I take a prescription nasal spray, DDAVP, and the spray I get from the pharmacy has the tube ALMOST go to the bottom of the bottle, whereas the outside generic brand is made properly, hitting the corner where the bottom meets the side. Little things like that make for a much better product.

Enough ranting about pharmacies because then I go on about insurance companies.

My point is I’m fat. When you’re fat (and unhealthy), jumping on a workout program is hard. Back pain is my number one problem. I don’t know exactly what is wrong, but this isn’t pain that I can ignore. So I have to do a lot of core exercises, before I can do most other exercises.

I like aerobic programs, until they get silly. For example, I love Billy Blanks, but he has a new program that uses a stick... come on Billy! And recently I have been arguring the usefulness of the Gazelle. When I first used it, I didn’t see it as very difficult, but then someone showed me how to use it, and I love it. Very low impact, which is important.

I should make my own workout video, one that understands that when your fat, your stomach gets in the way of most exercises, and it hurts in the “crease” when you do certain moves.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - My dream is to build my own home, a super home! So to speak. Building a new home is tough. I have bought many books and read as much literature as I can on the subject without actually being in the business… other than mortgages. I still can't wrap my head around how to negotiate with all the different people involved. My dream is to be an owner builder, not to hire a contractor, which of course, adds stress to the whole process.

I grew up in Yucca Valley, CA and in a desert community, insulation is very important, no such thing as an air conditioner out there, it's all swamp coolers… on the roof! And almost anyone will tell you that the roof is the worst place for a unit like that… but like I said I’m not in the business.

I have heard some horror stories when it comes to owner builders. Owner leaves for a few days comes back and the roof is completed on his new home, however they forgot to put on the second story. Plus the regular stories of people leaving the job site and not finishing the work splitting with half the money upfront. I am really trying to avoid that particular situation, but we will see how shrewd I can negotiate when the time comes.

Big couple of days for me. According to my data, no one actually visits my site. Keyword competition is fierce, but that’s ok. I work hard, but I prefer to work smart. 12 hours a day for pennies is the story of my life… but good news is that the company I invested in about 2 years ago now, is about to blow up! Plus with the Ameritrade/Etrade merger talks that boosts Ameritrade larger than ever that in turn is beneficial to me. I don’t want to leak the good news until it’s concrete, but keep an eye out for revolutionary automated trading software.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - Article Marketing, Ya I’ve done it, and it works… sorta. But not that great. In fact with the advent of the No Follow tag, it’s fairly worthless. And now there is a ton of services and software that have popped up that offer “automated” article submission.

I even paid a lot of money for articles to be written. I even had my friends write. Turns out that my writing is better most of the time. More unique even if it’s less legible. My main concern with article submission is that rarely do I see “articles” in a high position on the search engines. Page rank and links are great, but SERPS are the key. As for me, I would rather blackhat then write/pay for articles again.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - Back to my theme of “worlds worst webmaster”, I wanted to discuss affiliate programs. Honestly, I barely know how they work. I picture myself arguing with the company over my end of the month sales. “I sent you over 1000 visitors! And I didn’t get a single sale?” “Nope”

So even though I use affiliate programs, I don’t rely on them. As you can see, im an Adsense guy, but Adsense is angrifying me! … I’ll go calm down.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - I’ve been doing a lot of stock trading, and trying to put this stupid forum up. My advice to anyone trying to put up a forum, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Spent over 2 days and a lot of ego trying to put it up. Now I’m customizing and styling and that will take a while is my guess. In the mean time, it’s time to expand my “articles” or content. Nothing like pre-written content to get that duplicate content filter! But im making good money in the stock market, so at this moment I don’t care. Death to the real estate market!

The hardest part is what is my forum going to be about? Membership or free? As of right now I am thinking of an “Elite” forum. Like I said before, I am a member of a few blackhat forums, and the best guys don’t spill their secrets and the noobs just complain to each other while more experienced people let out crumbs. Getting to where I am now took a lot of money, time and grief. There is no way in hell that I’m giving up my secrets for free. But a “paid” forum doesn’t necessary create a breeding ground of cooperation and innovation. Just a lot of people waiting for someone else to say something and give a step by step tutorial. But I know that I don’t know enough about security to make a secure enough forum.

So what I’ll do for now is make a forum to see all the blackhat spammers drop some links. What better way to harvest keywords? J What better way to get ideas? What better way to find out blackhat techniques

I admit it I have addictions, well I have an addiction… it’s fajitas. But not just any fajita, (although I will eat any fajita anyway) There is only one room in my heart for one. It’s a place in Garden Grove, California call Pico De Gio. I would eat there at least twice a week when I lived there. They have great ingredients and cooked over a flame, but they use a special worcestershire sauce that is driving me crazy to find out where they get it.

By the way, I was goofing off… on Google and I found something hilarious. On http://moon.google.com/ if you zoom in all the way it shows cheese. Too funny!

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - Right now I am working on my own version of a content generator, mainly because I don’t want empty pages sitting there. But they are just placeholders for now, I designed the entire site for the future, I just gotta reach there.

One thing that has had my attention for a long time, that I cannot find a viable solution is clustering or Beowulf. Not for specific tasks, but for general use. I got a lot of old computers that I want to combine into a super computer that can handle everyday tasks. But hey who doesn’t?

From time to time I check in on the advancement in the field. I think it is working backwards. I think that software should first enable network computing, like many video rendering software then the OS can follow. When I say OS I mean Microsoft, being that is the most popular operating system.

Sorta off topic of SEO, but the faster the computer the more you can crunch numbers and then you can figure out the algorithm.

And speaking of the algorithm, I have created a bunch of pages that show the property linking strategy. Now whether or not these pages are “allowed” or “blackhat” I don’t know. I am showing an example… that has adsense on it. :) They are pretty much just gibberish, however you will see that most things on this website is for optimization. So if you’re looking for tax relief, there ya go. I did leave a few red herrings to throw off the copycats. But you will see it’s not “keyword stuffing” I have keywords in there, but not with any high density or repeatition.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - So I got booted off Myspace yesterday, no rhyme or reason. I never spammed anyone with sales related items. I did request a lot of friends daily, but that’s it. I didn’t even send a message half the time. Then one day poof! I’m gone. What’s the alternative? Facebook or Friendster? Both are extremely complicated. No thank you. It was aout time I quit playing on Myspace anyway, I was just arguing with a lot of people.

But it begs the question, what makes Myspace so popular? On top of that, what makes some of the most popular sites… popular? Look at Myspace, Youtube, Craigslist, Wikipedia, Facebook, Blogger, Ebay, and Digg. All these sites have a common theme. People make these sites a success. They upload content, products, or videos then others read, buy, or watch.

Search engine optimization with web 2.0 has added a new facet to the already complicated nature of SEO. But I predict a new direction for successful websites. Comparison websites that actually work, not sites with affiliate codes embedded to select partner websites don’t get me wrong I think Expedia, Travelocity and ect. are great by themselves, but take Kayak for example. In my opinion, the ultimate in travel price comparison. Because it uses a majority of the travel comparison sites to and compares them against each other. You may believe that you already see that, but try to find the lowest commissioned stock broker, my guess is that you will find the most popular but not the “best”.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - Finally the site is live, out there for opinion. You got something you want to say, feel free to send me an email at webmaster at this domain, I may or may not post it or portions of the message under the appropriate category.

Of course, I won’t hyperlink my email. I doubt anyone will want to send me a message other than spammers. I don’t mind spammers so much, but I have more than my fair share. There is a new or at least renewed version of an email that I keep getting. I should say it is a scam instead of spam but it basically goes like this:

Hello,

I am in control of <big sum of money>, I need you to hold it for a little bit and I will give you a cut. Please send me your details.

Sincerely,

<contact details>

Sometimes they ask for bank info right away sometimes they wait for the initial contact. But in the end it’s just a scam. I get about 30 variations of this message. I find a few entertaining. Some even use the religious route including charity and orphans.

What does this have to do with search engine optimization? Well, the concept is similar, try to appeal to the viewers needs and you will get repeat visits and word of mouth advertising. Perhaps even a few links.
