Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization - I had written a section about Black Hat and a basic "how to get started". In it was the correct linking strategy for Google. Then I realized, as much as a philanthropist as I am. I’m not here to give away money. I’m here to debunk the BS and make some cash at the same time. I have put a lot of time and effort into SEO, I see no reason to give it away free.

I’m too lazy to offer “monthly services” when it’s so simple, I can tell people how to do it. But I’m too paranoid to write an e-book because it will end up as a torrent somewhere. So what am I to do? The real answer is to keep it to myself and make profitable websites in every category. But like I said before, I’m not a great webmaster and it takes a lot of time for me to make a decent website.

Maybe I'll be a consultant...

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization – Black Hat SEO. Personally, I love to black hat. I am not very good at it, but I love to do it. Some of the most profitable black hat seo players cross or come close to crossing the line into criminal. However, your best black hatters make black hat appear white hat. As I am a member of a few black hat forums, I cannot leak their information, but the blackhat community is very secretive so there is no “tutorial” or how to get started. A lot of it is trial and error. So based on that, I cannot give away any of their secrets, “few as they may be” but I can give an introduction from what I have learned with my trial and errors. Besides, I would get Google Bombed into last year, if I did give away secrets.

The rules of the black hat are the same as white hat. However, black hats love education sites. Education sites have a trust factor that others do not.

You will find the easiest ways to follow black hatters are pharmacy related keywords. Buy Phentermine, Buy Viagra, Buy Levitra, Buy Buy Tramadol, Buy Ultram, Buy Cialis, ect.  Then combine keywords with education sites for a Google/Yahoo/MSN search for <pharmacy keyword> site:edu. In most cases you won’t need “site:edu” just going through the regular listings for a pharmacy keyword and you will find many education sites that host these pages. Then any search engine optimizer, white or black hat, it comes down to reverse engineering those listed sites to understand the methods.

The fundamental problem with black hat is that it relies on the same techniques of a white hat taken to the extreme. Does spamming thousands of sites with the proper anchor text work? In some search engines, yes. But by the end of the day, all the proof you need is money in the bank right?

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization – Here are some of the classic rules…

Use bold or italics with your keywords

Contain unique helpful content with a keyword density of x%

H1, H2 and H3 tags containing your keyword

Domain with keyword

Obtain links from sites with relative content to yours with your keyword in the anchor text.

ect.

With those rules we are already seeing webmasters become stingy about who they link out too or apply the nofollow tag to all outbound links. The concept of Pagerank and Pagerank bleed are a serious issue to webmasters. But wait! Linking to authority sites helps with SEO. So now webmasters are linking to what they believe are "authority" sites. Of course, Google, Yahoo and MSN have different algorithms, but I am referring mainly to Google.

The more of Google’s algorithm is discovered the less “relevant” the searches become. Take “cheap domain registration, and cheap web hosting."

What are the top ten results? Articles and comparisons about: cheap dedicated server, cheap domain hosting, cheap domain registration, and cheap web hosting. Those are very competitive and high paying keywords, why are there few to no companies on those results. But take lasik eye surgery, gastric reflux, or mesothelioma that are also high paying keywords, but they give information about each subject. On the flip side, without the adjective, “cheap” we get a variety of companies that offer their services. One of them has to be “cheaper” than another. So why doesn’t cheap <insert keyword here> work? The answer is complicated, but it comes to this. Search engines rely on internet democracy. One link = one vote. In the end, does democracy work?

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization… or at least that is what this page is supposed to be. Personally, I don’t care about all the color hats that are out there. Whatever works… works. This is business. Plain and simple. You cheat and rip people off, that hurts your reputation; you offer great products and services, your reputation grows.

Google is a business and they provide a service. A pretty good one in fact, if they decided to close up shop for a while, we would be hard pressed to find an equivalent product. If there was no more Google, we would have to rely on Yahoo or MSN as the runners up, based on popularity. I started off using Yahoo, before Google was popular and continued with Yahoo for a long time. I finally switched when I noticed I could actually “find” what I was looking for in Google.

As for the algorithm, everyone is saying this and that. Then Google says, “Content is King.” In a roundabout way I bet it is, if you make great content, then sites will link to you and your popularity will grow and you will rise in ranks in the search engines… What a wonderful thought and a positive incentive for webmasters to generate useful unique content. In the real world, getting a link from a popular site is like pulling teeth.

For Search Engine Optimization purposes, my entire site will be unique content with what I will call, “advanced linking structure” vs. "classic linking structure". Advanced linking structure isn't new, but I don't know what it's called. My guess is that I won’t see any traffic till I start blackhatting, then everything will come into play.

But the internet isn’t about “content”, it’s about ads. Content about online college degrees, lasik eye surgery, or mesothelioma isn’t for information purposes, it’s to sell something. Just like television. In fact, the differences between the two are quickly becoming null.

So who makes the money in Search Engne Optimization? The people that sell the services, techniques, software, ebooks, and more. I remember I got a phone call from an SEO company that got my number most likely from Whois. I had finished creating a site and was working on other projects. This guy proceeds to tell me how my keywords weren’t this and my title tag wasn’t long enough and their keyword department would find the best keywords for me.

I had harassed this poor kid till he had to get the manager to answer my questions. So I pulled my trump, which she handled very well. I said, “Why does your company have a negative rating with the Better Business Bureau?” To her credit, she answered it beautifully saying that for this industry that’s actually pretty good. I had a good laugh, because I bet it is.

My idea, I would like to start a Statistical Search Engine Website for Search Engine Optimization statistics to reverse engineer the algorithm and its changes. Then sell it as a per keyword subscription to all the search engine optimizers. None of this conjecture and myth, nothing but hard facts.

Ultimately search engine marketing is a dirty game. Scraping, link spamming, cookie stuffing, content generators, site generators, email spamming, link exchanges, ect.

Let the games begin!

Yippie Ki Yay!

The website isn't even live yet, I'm still designing and working out some kinks. I want to make sure everything is perfect. And because I’m working on SEO and things of the sort, I got to thinking about the internet in general. Do you remember a time when there was no internet? Sounds like an old man question, but the internet isn’t that old. I remember when I first started seeing URLs on movie commercials and other ads. At the time I thought it was weird and wouldn’t last… and here we are.

Speaking of movies… I have been doing a lot of research on celebrities, I feel like an old man, because half of these stars I have never heard of. Just call me silly ole grandpa. Let me back up a bit.

I stopped watching T.V a few years ago because I wanted to dedicate more time to books. It was a struggle at first, I was obviously addicted, but my only addiction now is the internet. Back then I would follow all the gossip and stories, watch some Star Trek and Discovery Channel and that was pretty much it. So when I stopped and took a step back, I noticed how silly it is. Every few weeks when I go grocery shopping it’s the SAME magazine covers. Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Aniston, then occasionally a Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Eesh can I get some real news?

Alot of people would agree with me and say, "Ya, those media guys should lay off!" Guess what? It’s not the media’s fault either. It’s the people. If they didn’t buy the magazines or watch the shows that “tell all”, then it wouldn’t be so popular. If following Brad and Angelina wasn’t profitable then no one would do it (or at least not as many).

I have always been able to distinguish the line between work life and personal life. I like their work, but I don’t need to know their personal lives. But to be fair, I have always been a fan of Bruce Willis, love his work. Yippie Ki Yay!

Welcome to my website!

I won't pretend this is a large faceless corporation, because... it's just me. I have been studying Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for a long time. Started off as a White Hat and bought many many MANY tools to perfect my craft. I hired writers for original work and did a lot of link exchanges. But I was attacking very difficult keywords that I didn't find out till later. Lesson one, make sure your keywords are worth going after.

Then I began to Black Hat SEO, and of course Google changed their algorithm so that Black Hatting was more difficult, or at least more difficult than before. No more traffic equalizer and spamming guestbooks.

Of course, I have read almost everything there is about SEO from self proclaimed "gurus" and "experts" on the forums, videos and books. I bought their books, I listened to their seminars and I thought they knew what they were doing. Guess what? They know nothing! Thankfully, the rest of the SEO community is starting to catch on too. Personally, I love SEO it's a great big puzzle and I love puzzles. Well... more accurately I love to solve problems.

So, I think I figured out SEO and that’s what Advanced Intelligence Inc. is all about. If you’re reading this page, then you found it somehow, somewhere and most likely on a search engine. Means I figured it out... kinda, if not... then it doesn't matter because you're not reading this, right?

Former Life

In a former life I was a Loan Officer. A pretty good one I would say, because I'm fairly friendly. People tend to think Loan Officers are scum, and they are right, but not nearly as bad as the customers. If you say you are going to call back... We can talk 1031 exchange properties, adjustable rate mortgage loans, home loans, mortgage rates, mortgage quotes and refinancing till I'm blue in the face. Doesn't do you any good, because you have someone (less knowledgeable but) more convincing than me, telling you something completely different.

At one point, I built a program that would combine all the rates we would get from the different banks into one, so we could at a glance see who was the best on the different rates. You would think that everyone has something like this... WRONG! Truth is, the banks make it impossible for a system like to this to be instituted. They use ole fashion selling techniques of trust vs. price. I'm a price guy, give me the best price and I'll trust you.

For example, Bank of America made over 16 Billion in 2005. That’s billion with a B not million. Their chief source of income is loans. Although I do have a checking account with BofA, I hate them so much! I better stop complaining now before I get in trouble. 16 billion can cause a lot of pain.

I still have ties to the mortgage industry. If you want to see some great rates, send me an email with your contact information and the loan information, I'll send you over to the right place.

My Situation Now

Basically, I have had major surgery twice in the last few years. I have a Pituitary tumor that is going to kill me. How long, I don't know, I have already lost a lot of my vision because of it. Health insurance is a joke. I put my story on my myspace page, and I was requesting a lot of friends. I never thought people would read my page but keep in mind I wrote about my whole first surgery, and I am having difficulty writing the second one (very traumatic). But anyway, I have a lot of stuff on my page. I have never considered myself to be a great writer, nor did my grades ever reflect it, but people would read my entire "blog" and send me a message. Could also be that I also struck a chord when I spoke about religion.

I take so many medications that soon I'll have to go to drug rehab. Physical Labor would be too much for me in my current state, so I started to see how to make money online. It has been a while, but I "think" I got it this time. In short, if this site becomes popular enough maybe I would have to struggle so much financially.

My Passion

I don't know when I fell in love with computers; it was more gradual than all at once. I built my first computer from parts in 2002... of course it didn't work for a few weeks, but I still use it to this day... as my slowest oldest computer. Top of the line back then, but that's technology for you.

Nowadays, I would say I'm pretty good with computers and software. Not great, but good. Only a few weeks ago, I took apart the laptop because I had to clean out the spilled Gatorade that was making the keys stick. I got some nice data recovery, and backup software on it. Took me three times of losing everything I had on my computer to learn to backup and invest in some data recovery.

But I was never a computer guy, I would play on the Commodore 64 all day as a kid, but as I got older I would play on the console games. Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Playstation. The Playstation 2 is where I left off. I like to think I was pretty good, but from time to time I would use playstation game cheats or game cheats for ps2. Then I started playing Everquest... such a great game, and very very addicting. Then I started looking for pc game cheats, but there isn’t a “classical type” cheat for EQ.  I believe that would be the point that I left the console world for desktop computers and the internet. I am probably the worst webmaster on the internet (if I may be so bold to claim that title for myself), but I'm getting better, so let's see where this goes.
